Consider a home National Weather Radio!NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. Become a storm spotter, or simply learn more about the weather around you. SKYWARN is a nationwide program of spotters that report severe weather to the National Weather Service. All you have to do to become a SKYWARN spotter for the National Weather Service, all you have to do is attend one of our Spoter Training Sessions. There is no charge for the training. Attendees are instructed what types of severe weather the National Weather Service is interested in hearing about and are given an 800 telephone number for 24 hour access make reports directly to the NWS forecasters. Be weather aware whether Winter or Summer and sign up for the Village of Springville's CodeRED. The Town of Concord and Village of Springville utilize the CodeRED system. CodeRED serves as the planning and communications outreach to both citizens and municipal personnel by using the system capabilities to send telephone calls, text messages, emails and social media in an effort to effictively inform residents to protect life and property. This communication tool will alert our residents to emergency and other timely messages. The municipalities use the program to notify residents in specific geographic locations of emergencies, power outages, road closures and events.
